Big Transitions?
Has your life been swallowed up in the grief and loss of a big transition?
Are your plans and dreams gone, leaving you feeling confused and disoriented?
We've all experienced this sometime after 45: the gradual (or sudden) discovery that our lives, as we've been living them for decades, are liveable no longer. Period. Through the diagnosis, the divorce, the empty nest, the loss or trauma, life demands that we let go of the familiar and known.
Serious crises prime us for significant awakenings, healing, and transformation. They invite us to wake up to a consciously lived life, full of meaning and purpose. You can deeply trust Melissa as a powerfully skilled and compassionate guide for opening to new life. ~ Dr. Jeanne Achterberg, Past President of the Association for Transpersonal Psychology and author of Imagery in Healing
The Most Important Question: will I shut down, or be broken open into new flourishing?
These big transitions are what I call Destiny Points, important times when we are invited (OK, butt-kicked) to release what is old and outworn in our lives — identities, beliefs, habits, relationships — and allow space for new life to come in.
It's hard to imagine a new chapter is starting in the midst of the pain and confusion. But every ending is also a new beginning, a chance to recreate ourselves and our lives, and flourish in ways we might never have dreamed of.
The Bad News AND The Good News:
We can't journey successfully through these kinds of transitions by ourselves. (Trust me: If it could have been done, I would have done it.)
We all need inspiration, help, and support to travel through the heartbreak of loss, and the mind-bending disorientation and instability of the unknown that follows.
I found Melissa when it felt like my life had ended (cancer diagnosis and divorce). She helped me do what I thought was impossible: through insight, hard work, and love, I created a new life — and a renewed self for that life — that still takes my breath away: deep happiness, and yes, a new sweetie. I'm so grateful for her compassion, wisdom, and fearlessness in the face of overwhelming change. ~ Amanda Creston
We need a wise and compassionate guide to help us navigate the grief, the mysteries, and the sweet inrushing of new life, creativity, possibilities, and love.
And sisters, do I love to help women over 45 do just this. In the last 25 years, I've helped hundreds of women over 45 flourish after the heartbreak of deep loss and big change. I've personally lived this sort of profound upheaval (see "About"), and have written my latest book, Silver Linings, about the map of the transition journey.
My life's calling is to help women transform difficult transitions into profoundly healing journeys of transformation.

And blessings on this journey of yours, sister. My heart's with you.
